John James Audubon - Birds and Animals
The Old Print Shop has owned nine complete sets, several loose volumes and countless individual aquatints from America's most famous naturalist. We specialize in the original double elephant folio, Havell aquatints published in London 1827-1838. We also have a fine selection of the folio quadrupeds (animals) and a large group of the royal octavo (8vo) editions of both the birds and the animals.

We have an extensive collection of American 20th-century master prints and we represent the estates of many printmakers from this period. The inventory is arranged alphabetically by the artists last name or can be searched by subject on our subject search page. Contemporary Artists
We currently represent over fifty contemporary printmakers, and these artists use printmaking as their primary form of artistic expression. Antiquarian Maps and Atlases
We have a fine collection of antiquarian maps dating from 1500 to 1900. Maps of the Americas are our specialty, but we have an nice collection from Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Since 1998 we have offered scholarly reference books on the fine arts, monographs, catalogue raisonnes, artist books (livres de artist), artist portfolios, 18th and 19th century color plate books, and map reference books.
